Muhammad's marriage to Aisha

Critics allege that Aisha was just six years old when she was betrothed to Muhammad, himself in his 50s, and only nine when the marriage was consummated. They base this on a saying attributed to Aisha herself (Sahih Bukhari volume 5, book 58, number 234), and the debate on this issue is further complicated by the fact that some Muslims believe this to be a historically accurate account. Although most Muslims would not consider marrying off their nine-year-old daughters, those who accept this saying argue that since the Qur'an states that marriage is void unless entered into by consenting adults, Aisha must have entered puberty early.

They point out that, in seventh-century Arabia, adulthood was defined as the onset of puberty. (This much is true, and was also the case in Europe: five centuries after Muhammad's marriage to Aisha, 33-year-old King John of England married 12-year-old Isabella of Angoulême.) Interestingly, of the many criticisms of Muhammad made at the time by his opponents, none focused on Aisha's age at marriage According to this perspective, Aisha may have been young, but she was not younger than was the norm at the time. Other Muslims doubt the very idea that Aisha was six at the time of marriage, referring to historians who have questioned the reliability of Aisha's age as given in the saying.

In a society without a birth registry and where people did not celebrate birthdays, most people estimated their own age and that of others. Aisha would have been no different. What's more, Aisha had already been engaged to someone else before she married Muhammad, suggesting she had already been mature enough by the standards of her society to consider marriage for a while. It seems difficult to reconcile this with her being six.

In addition, some modern Muslim scholars have more recently cast doubt on the veracity of the saying, or hadith, used to assert Aisha's young age. In Islam, the hadith literature (sayings of the prophet) is considered secondary to the Qur'an. While the Qur'an is considered to be the verbatim word of God, the hadiths were transmitted over time through a rigorous but not infallible methodology. Taking all known accounts and records of Aisha's, at marriage estimates of her age range from nine to nineteen

Because of this, it is impossible to know with any certainty how old Aisha was. What we do know is what the Qur'an says about marriage: that it is valid only between consenting adults, and that a woman has the right to choose her own spouse. As the living embodiment of Islam, Muhammad's actions reflect the Qur'an's teachings on marriage, even if the actions of some Muslim regimes and individuals do not. Sadly, in many countries, the imperatives motivating the marriage of young girls are typically economic. In others, they are political. The fact that Iran and Saudi Arabia have both sought to use the saying concerning Aisha's age as a justification for lowering the legal age of marriage tells us a great deal about the patriarchal and oppressive nature of those regimes, and nothing about Muhammad, or the essential nature of Islam. The stridency of those who lend credence to these literalist interpretations by concurring with their warped view of Islam does not help those Muslims who seek to challenge these aberrations.

The Islamophobic depiction of Muhammad's marriage to Aisha as motivated by misplaced desire fits within a broader Orientalist depiction of Muhammad as a philanderer. This idea dates back to the crusades. According to the academic Kecia Ali: "Accusations of lust and sensuality were a regular feature of medieval attacks on the prophet's character and, by extension, on the authenticity of Islam." Since the early Christians heralded Christ as a model of celibate virtue, Muhammad – who had married several times – was deemed to be driven by sinful lust. This portrayal ignored the fact that before his marriage to Aisha, Muhammad had been married to Khadija, a powerful businesswoman 15 years his senior, for 25 years. When she died, he was devastated and friends encouraged him to remarry. A female acquaintance suggested Aisha, a bright and vivacious character.

Aisha's union would also have cemented Muhammad's longstanding friendship with her father, Abu Bakr. As was the tradition in Arabia (and still is in some parts of the world today), marriage typically served a social and political function – a way of uniting tribes, resolving feuds, caring for widows and orphans, and generally strengthening bonds in a highly unstable and changing political environment. Of the women Muhammad married, the majority were widows. To consider the marriages of the prophet outside of these calculations is profoundly a historical.

What the records are clear on is that Muhammad and Aisha had a loving and egalitarian relationship, which set the standard for reciprocity, tenderness and respect enjoined by the Qur'an. Insights into their relationship, such as the fact they liked to drink out of the same cup or race one another, are indicative of a deep connection which belies any misrepresentation of their relationship. To paint Aisha as a victim is completely at odds with her persona. She was certainly no wallflower. During a controversial battle in Muslim history, she emerged riding a camel to lead the troops. She was known for her assertive temperament and mischievous sense of humour – with Muhammad sometimes bearing the brunt of the jokes. During his lifetime, he established her authority by telling Muslims to consult her in his absence; after his death, she went to be become one of the most prolific and distinguished scholars of her time.

A stateswoman, scholar, mufti, and judge, Aisha combined spirituality, activism and knowledge and remains a role model for many Muslim women today. The gulf between her true legacy and her depiction in Islamophobic materials is not merely historically inaccurate, it is an insult to the memory of a pioneering woman. Those who manipulate her story to justify the abuse of young girls, and those who

manipulate it in order to depict Islam as a religion that legitimises such abuse have more in common than they think. Both demonstrate a disregard for what we know about the times in which Muhammad lived, and for the affirmation of female autonomy which her story, illustrates.

Jews

Before I get into the details I want to begin the topic with a video. The video is about a Jewish caller debating with George Galloway on the subject of Israel, I wont say much as the video speaks for itself.

I think the photos above speak for themselves in regards to the nature of the Jews, but I would like to add what Allah says about them in the Quran. Allah says in Chapter 2 verse 40: Oh children of Israel, remember my favor that I bestowed upon you and fulfill my covenant upon you that I will fulfill your covenant (from me) and fear only me.

Allah saved them from slavery from Phroun, he saved them from the sea which drowned Pharoun and the people of Phroun, Allah sent the Jews food from the sky which they mocked at, Allah sent them prophet after prophet more then any other nation, Allah says again in the Quran Chapter 2 verse 47: And that I preferred you above all other nations.

What did the Jews do next? They followed their own desires and killed the prophets which can still be found in the old testament today. Allah says in the Quran Chapter 5 verse 70: We had already taken the covenant of the children of Israel and had sent to them messengers. Whenever came to them a messenger with what their souls did not desire, a group of the messengers they denied and another party they killed.

There is so much I could say and so much that needs to be said but I will save it for another post. The world needs to know how dangerous the Jews actually are. In the Jewish, Christian, Muslim scriptures we are all told that the Jews are the chosen people of God just once again look at the photos above and make a judgment for yourselves.

American soldier quits and explains about the killing in Iraq

America are always talking about human rights and that they believe  heavily in it, however everyone knows the story of Guantanamo bay which I might post later. Here in this video is about an ex US veteran "Jon Micheal Turner" who committed war crime atrocities in Iraq such as Killing of civilians, terrorising, families, racism (shooting down of mosques) and so on.

We know of the 3 Crusades the first Crusade which was launched by the Christians in the west to attack Islam and take Jerusalem from the Muslims, the second Crusade which was to get back the County of Edessa, the third Crusade which was to try and get Jerusalem from the Muslims again. Which I must add without going into to much detail was a religious holy war against the Muslims by pope Urban II, many Jews and Muslims were killed, raped and even cannibalised by the Christians at Ma'arra (Syria)

Now we have what I call the forth Crusade which is being conducted by the Christians, which was probably initiated by the Zionist Jews, to attack Muslims on Muslim ground, and occupy the land for themselves which they have done, and made a big income out of the country's resources (oil, Babylonian artifacts). Wars must go on otherwise America cannot sell their products (weapons) and Muslim countries are a perfect way to start up trouble, steal from, and make a profit on selling weapons.

When will it end Allah knows.

Photos of war crimes done by Assad the Syrian leader

A handout picture released by the oppsition Syrian opposition's Shaam News Network shows the bodies of children lying at a hospital morgue in the central Syrian town of Houla

UN said around 90 to 108 people confirmed as having been killed in the town of Houla and the nearby village of Taldou appeared to have been shot at close range. Among the victims of the attack by Assad's forces were about 49 children and 34 Women, the UN added. Rupert Colville, for the UN high commissioner for human rights said: "it looks like entire families were shot in their houses."

Child victims of bombing by alleged Assad militias - Homs

Anyway I think we have seen enough for there is so much more I could upload. one question always arises and I will try and put it in laymen term "Why the HELL is nobody helping the Syrians?" I ask all my Muslim brothers and sister around the world to make duaa and pray for these people why have died and pray to Allah to ask him to take away Assad in this world before he does anymore damage. Further more ask Allah to punish Assad too because he really deserves everything which is bad in this life and the hereafter.

We are told in a Hadith narrated by Abdullah bin Masud. The prophet said, Abusing a Muslim is Fusuq (an evil doing) and killing him is kufr (disbelief). Sahih Bukhari volume 1 hadith 46

We are also told in another Hadith narrated by Abu Huraira. While the Prophet was saying something in a gathering, a bedouin came and asked him, "When would the hour (Doomsday) take place?" Allah's messenger continued his talk, sosome people said that Allah's messenger had heard the question but did not like what the bedouin had asked. Some of them said Allah's messenger had not heard it. when the prophet finished his speech, he said, "Where is the questioner, who inquired about the hour (Doomsday)?" The bedouin said " I am here, O Allah's messenger." The prophet said "When Al-Amanah (trust) is lost, then wait  for the hour (Doomsday)." The bedouin said "How will that be lost?" The prophet said, "When the power or authority comes in the hands of unfit persons, then wait for the hour (Doomsday)." Sahih Bukhari Volume 1 hadith 56

We continue again by being told in another Hadith narrated by Abu Huraira. The prophet said "Religious knowledge will be taken away by the death of religious scholars, ignorance in religion and Al-Fitan (trials and afflictions) will appear and Harj will increase." It was asked, "What is Harj, O Allah's messenger?" He replied by beckoning with his hand indicating "Killing" Sahih Bukhari Volume 1 hadith 85

and again we are told in another hadith narrated by Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas. I heard Allah's messenger saying "Allah doses not take away the knowledge, by taking it away from the hearts of the people, but takes it away by the death of the religions learned men till when none of the religious learned men remains, people will take as their leaders ignorant persons who when consulted will give their verdict without knowledge. So they will go astray and will lead the people astray." Sahih Bukhari volume 1 hadith 100.

To sum this all up if we examine these hadiths they sound a lot like the leaders we have today such as Assad,  Mubarak, Gaddafi and so on. All I can say is we must be very careful as the hour might be approaching soon.

The Treaty of Tripoli

Here we see a document that was signed on 4 November 1796 at Tripoli and taken again to Algiers for a third party witness. It was submitted by the second president of the United States John Adams after the second Barbary war.

when we observe article 11which you should be able to enlarge on the photo provided above it says:

As the government of the United Sates of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion, has it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen (Muslims), and as the said states never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan (Muslim) nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.

Here it tells us that the United States of America wants to coexist with the Muslims, but today this is not the case, and furthermore I feel that today the US has shown and will continue to show a great deal of hostility towards the Muslims. But in the late 1700s we can clearly see peace between the two parties (Muslims and non Muslims) by just looking at this document. It seems to me that the Presidents of the US at that time were more educated and sympathetic towards their Muslim foes then today. Furthermore we are told by president  John Adams himself in article 11that America is not in any sense founded by the Christian religion. So for the wars that took place at that time were not religious ones unlike in the middle ages and today in the 21st century.

Is there gender equality in Islam?

All Praises is due to Allah. We ask him to bless our noble prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and we thank Allah for sending us a flawless scripture of truth.

One major question always arises to Muslims on the subject of gender equality in Islam and with a lot of thought and study of the subject I feel qualified to answer this question. I will start with a summary of the rites of women today and then discuss the rites of women in Pre-Islamic Arabia in another article inshallah.

First of all I want to point out here is that men and woman are not the same, anybody who has studied biology even for the first year knows that there is a big difference between men and women. Islam does not preach this idea of gender equality we preach something much bigger and better than that and that's equity (fairness) whats right for a man and whats right for a woman.

The rites of men and the rites of women are different because their different, they have been created differently by Allah. And who is to know and understand what an individual persons needs are then the one who created them in the first place and it is Allah, who sent down instructions so that everyone gets their proper rites, not equal rites but equity rites. I will give you an example of this. Men and women are not the same when it comes to business or work, quite simply because women don't have the physical capability to go out there and do some of the things men can do, on the other hand there are many things women can do that men can't do having babies is one of them! Also women are able to tolerate a lot more pain specially through labor and childbirth no man could ever be able to do that.

Also men and women are different in their emotional makeup their thinking and the way they approach ideas, doesn't mean to say ones wrong and ones right but there is a difference and Allah has explained everything to us through Islam.

When we consider the shahada men and women must both accept that there is no God but Allah and  we are going to do what he wants us to do on his terms and Muhammad is the messenger (peace be upon him). Then after that comes salah 5 daily preys a day however women on their monthly cycle don't have to pray and further more she does not have to make them up why? Because Allah knows what he created and does not want her doing that then, she can pray in her heart.

When it comes to hajj the pilgrimage both men and women are required to do it, however women don't perform hajj when there on their monthly cycle. The zakat is however the same between the two sexes.

Signs of the Day of Judgement

What are the signs and what do they mean?

We are told by our beloved prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that before man wakes up in the resurrection there will be signs leading up to the resurrection when we see these signs The Day of Judgment will shortly follow. I have listed only a handful of these signs. We have minor signs followed by major signs. May Allah make us aware of these signs, may Allah guide us. Much of the Judeo-Christian teaching regarding these signs are based on frequent reinterpretations of vague Scripture. Whereas the signs enumerated by Islamic sources are quite clear and concrete, with little, if any, room for interpretation. In addition, the vastness of the material available within the Islamic tradition points to the finality of Allah's Message. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Last Messenger sent to humanity, said that Allah has never sent a messenger who did not warn his people about al-Masih ad-Dajjal (the AntiChrist). And it only follows that Allah would give the Last Messenger the most information relating to this subject, as his followers will be the ones experiencing these signs.

Minor signs

1. The disappearance of knowledge and the appearance of ignorance (Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Majah, & Ahmad)

2.  Books/writing will be widespread and (religious) knowledge will be low (Ahmad)

5. Killing, killing, killing (Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Majah, & Ahmad)

6. The nations of the earth will gather against the Muslims like hungry people going to sit down to a table full of food. This will occur when the Muslims are large in number, but "like the foam of the sea".

7. Children will be foul (at-Tabarani, al-Hakim)

8. When a man obeys his wife and disobeys his mother; and treats his friend kindly while shunning his father (at-Tirmidhi)

9. People will claim to follow the Qur'an but will reject hadith & sunnah (Abu Dawood)

10. Time will pass rapidly (Bukhari, Muslim, & Ahmad)

15. Men will begin to look like women and women will begin to look like men

16. The Muslim conquest of Jerusalem.

Major signs

Although they appear here in no particular order, it is important to point out that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that these last, major signs will follow each other like pearls falling off of a necklace...

1. Masih ad-Dajjal (The AntiChrist) The Antichrist (al-masih al-dajjal, the false christ) will appear, with all his tools of deception, and be an immense trial. He will be followed by 70,000 Jews from Isfahan (present-day Iran).

"Are they waiting for anything except the Hour, to come to them suddenly? But its Signs have already come!" (Al-Qur’an, Surah Muhammad)
